Multiple Committer Identities

Gitfox can store multiple commit identities and let you choose one when committing.

Open Gitfox → Settings → Identities. In the direct-download and Setapp versions this pane is called Identities & Signing because those variants also support signing keys.

Add an identity

Click Add Identity and enter the name and email address. If commit signing is available, choose a signing key or leave it on Automatic.

Use an identity

Open the commit window and choose the identity from the identity picker next to the commit button.

The selected identity is passed to Git when Gitfox creates the commit.
