System Requirements

Gitfox supports macOS 26.0 or later.

The app is built as a native Mac app and supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Git

Gitfox ships with a bundled Git instance. You can also choose a system Git installation in Gitfox → Settings → Git.

Changing the Git instance requires restarting Gitfox. If a system Git install causes issues, switch back to the bundled Gitfox Git instance.

Git LFS

Git LFS actions use git lfs through Git. If a repository depends on Git LFS, make sure the selected Git environment can run Git LFS commands.
